Publisher's Synopsis
Twenty-two women are described in loose easy-to-read poetic form, giving an introductory slice of each woman's life. These daring brave women were rebels, soldiers, or spies. They were also very creative and heroic. Both Black and White, they were strongly supportive of the Revolution, the North, or the South. Some, but not all, may be well-known. A final index lists each woman in alphabetical order with her birth and death (where known), and the relevant poem title.
