Publisher's Synopsis
This is a collection of heart-wrenching, yet passionate poetry I have written over the last twenty plus years to heal my broken heart during life's trials and tribulations. Grief, loss, love, relationships, marriage, pain (physically and mentally), and life in general can be difficult to talk about sometimes or even hard to find words. If you came looking for comfort and solace, I truly do hope you find it here within these pages and words. I hope these words heal your heart as much as I needed to release them. I have also included some of my favorite Bible scriptures that continue to guide my journey. These are my own personal feelings, opinions, thoughts, and words that God has put on my heart to share with you.
Writing has been my emotional outlet since the age of six. It has expressed emotions that I didn't know how to verbalize or physically show. Something about a good ol' fashion pencil and paper somehow seems to clear enough cobwebs up there to make sense of my crazy life long enough to sort through whatever I need to. Writing is my way of staying organized, problem solving, figuring out my own truth, and when I don't want to read or reality is too pain to deal with, I create an alternate reality for myself to escape to.
