Publisher's Synopsis
Quality development regarding worship is a relatively new field of work. It finds its place between practical theology, formation and training of worship leaders and the everyday and dominical challenge to lead and structure church services. There exist already good practices and proven instruments like visitations and discussions following-up worship. These are complemented now by new models and tools which are influenced by quality management and in view to church service open up surprisingly new perspectives. The Handbook Quality of Church Service brings together the insights and results of model projects of the Centre for Quality Development in Church Service which was initiated as a reform project by the EKD Council and was located from 2009 to 2017 at the Michaeliskloster in Hildesheim. The volume documents furthermore quality initiatives from the whole area of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).
