Publisher's Synopsis
Two previous editions of the ′Handbuch des kathodischen Korrosionsschutzes′ have already gained acceptance among specialists. The new edition is coming out at the right time: More stringent occupational safety and environmental protection standards have made it still clearer how important the electrochemical methods of corrosion protection are, while new technical developments have opened up more fields for the application of these techniques.
The third edition deals with new research and development results – according to the principles of corrosion and electrochemistry, metrology, corrosion monitoring, and so forth – as well as current approaches to problems in reinforced concrete construction and the chemical industry. Special topics include IR–free potential measurement, intensive metrology, and computer–aided data processing. As in the previous editions, great stress is laid on uniform, standardized terminology.
