Publisher's Synopsis
Electrical measurements are the methods, devices and calculations used to measure electrical quantities. Measurement of electrical quantities may be done to measure electrical parameters of a system. The text Handbook of Electrical Measurements covers a wide spectrum of topics pertaining to electrical measurements. The aim of first chapter is to evaluate the performance of three commercial conductimeters to be used during mechanical milking of small ruminant halves, especially Murciano-Granadina goats. Second chapter discusses the transient response of organo-metal-halide solar cells analyzed by time-resolved current-voltage measurements. In third chapter, we present a different approach for an adaptive, smart, interferometric laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV) to overcome the former limitations. In fourth chapter, we propose a new technique of measuring user similarity: applying electric-circuit analysis (ECA) to the user-item matrix. High electron mobility transistors (HEMT's) based on AlGaN/GaN grown by molecular beam epitaxy on silicon substrates have been investigated in fifth chapter. Sixth chapter presents a methodology for assessing the reliability of 33/11 kilovolt high-power stations based on average time between failures. In seventh chapter, the extrinsic and intrinsic causes of frequency dispersion during C-V or C-f (capacitance-frequency) measurements in high-k thin films have been investigated. Eighth chapter proposes an optimized electromagnetic detection method based on the combined use of wideband PD sensors for measurements performed in the HF and UHF frequency ranges, together with the implementation of powerful processing tools. Calculation of constitutive parameters from electric and magnetic field measurements in an anisotropic medium with a triaxial instrument has been discussed in ninth chapter. In tenth chapter, we propose a retinal vessel width measurement method at branch points based on an improved electric field theory motivated graph approach. Last chapter focuses on antenna measurement.
