Guided Instrument, 2003, fiction, young adult novel that turns two individuals who were best of friends into totally different people. The story tries to communicate the traumatic odyssey taken by one of these men when he catches his closest of friends in a plot to undermine the dearest human convictions and to carry out a sinister overthrow of a nation's principals, mission and duty of a highly regarded governmental body - the military intelligence community. It also demonstrates the "fine-line" we citizens have in trusting our government and its chosen people to be honest, patriotic but noble.
