Publisher's Synopsis

Collection of animated adaptations of children's books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. In 'The Gruffalo' (2009), a cunning little mouse (voice of James Corden) goes for a walk in the forest and manages to outsmart not only a succession of woodland predators but the purple-prickled, wart-nosed Gruffalo (Robbie Coltrane) too. The film also features the voice talents of Helena Bonham Carter, John Hurt and Rob Brydon. In the sequel 'The Gruffalo's Child' (2011), some time has passed since the events in the first story and the Gruffalo now has a little daughter (Shirley Henderson). After hearing her father's fantastic stories about the Big Bad Mouse in the deep, dark wood, her curiosity gets the better of her and she sets out one snowy night on a thrilling journey of discovery. 'Room On the Broom' (2012), narrated by Simon Pegg, tells the story of a benevolent witch (Gillian Anderson) travelling on her broomstick who invites a variety of different animals to join her on her journey, much to the dismay of her cat (Rob Brydon). The film also features the vocal talents of Timothy Spall, Martin Clunes, Sally Hawkins and David Walliams.
