Publisher's Synopsis

Key Selling Points This is a book about the transgender experience written by transgender youth, in their own words. Features stories, essays, poetry and art by transgender youth from across Canada. Both author/editors facilitated the workshops these stories, essays, poetry and art came from. At the workshops transgender youth were mentored by members of the trans community. The glossary was written by author and trans activist Tash McAdam, who was a founding mentor with the Trans Tipping Point project. The rights of transgender people are regularly in the news cycle tied to things such as the SOGI curriculum, JK Rowling's commentary on transgender people and the ongoing legal battles of transgender athletes (professional and amateur). It is more important than ever to hear trans voices. The royalties from the sale of this book will be donated to the Gender Generations Project which works to empower trans, two-spirit, non-binary and other gender diverse youth. It has been submitted for consideration to the ABA's Indies Introduce program for 2021.
