Times are tough in the 14th century: bubonic plague, the hundred years' war, and famine. One day, sick little Alice sees light coming from the forest and decides to investigate, only to come face-to-face with the grim reaper. Thankfully, the grim reaper decides to take her under his wing and introduce her to four poor souls, all experiencing different stages of grief.
