Sirona Pharmaceuticals is the target of environmental terrorism; no ordinary attack, a suicide bomber unleashing a never before seen explosive. And while much is known of Sirona, little is known of the bomber, Rupert Pascoe. One of Sirona's gifted scientists, working in secret, the Police believe he worked alone; a frustrated genius who had the means and desire to usher in a new age of eco-terrorism. With Rupert killing himself in the explosion, all that's left to do is work out how the bomb ticks and make sure it's secrets stay safe in government hands. But not everyone is convinced.
Joyce van Amand was Rupert's former assistant scientist. Late one night she's woken by two of the MET's finest requesting her assistance in investigating Rupert's attack. Assistance, unfortunately, requires trawling up frightening memories, but she leaves the Police satisfied they have all they need; until she's contacted by the journalist, Sarah Green.
While Joyce is initially sceptical of both Sarah's assertions and her state of mind, her persistence is starting to make Joyce doubt the official story. Accompanied by her new eager, yet slightly unhinged friend, and the mysterious Bailey Edwards, one of the only living directors of Sirona; Joyce sets out to discover the truth behind Rupert's death.
Rather than partaking in an exciting adventure to solve an intriguing mystery, the three travellers soon realise they're part of a deadly game, where the rules are dictated by a remorseless genius and orchestrated killing is just a means to an end; a means, to the Green Bomb.
