M.Ed., C.Ht., taught elementary school for 42 years. Upon her retirement, she began her career as an author and speaker. Shirah has been on a path of self-growth since 1971. Her teachers, whom she quotes in this volume, were facilitators in her journey. She has become very well-read and proficient, in the area of self-esteem facilitation and raising, thanks to Sid Simon, Leo Buscaglia, Jack Canfield, John-Roger, Nathaniel Branden, Cheryl Richardson, and Louise Hay, Susan Jeffers, Wayne Dyer, and many, many others. The workshops and seminars in which she participated enriched her knowledge and desire to share what she has learned. All of this helped her create Gramma Shirah to help share with others.
