Nearly 80 per cent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in London say that today's graduates lack motivation and drive. Almost 90 per cent cite graduates' communication skills as needing enhancement. The SMEs viewed inadequacies in national education and traning systems as the main constraint in the development of skills and aptitudes. These are some findings of this research report, commissioned by Focus Central London and CREATE, which includes analyses of the results by industry and give recommedations on improving the situation.
