Jesus' Parable of the Talents is a well-known story, but many Christians who take seriously its challenge to use their gifts and abilities to glorify God wonder just what it is that God wants them to do. Perhaps they haven't hidden their talent like the unfaithful servant, but they know that they are not being as productive as the faithful servants. They are not aware that the answers they seek are found in the key themes underlying the Parable itself. A fuller understanding of what the Parable teaches will help all believers realize a clearer sense of mission in their daily lives.
