Publisher's Synopsis
This volume covers all mononuclear nickel compounds that have two or more organic ligands connected via one nickel-to-carbon bond to the nikckel atom. Included are four- to n-membered nickelacycles. Their most interesting types of reactions are the insertion of small unsaturated molecules into the Ni-C bond and the reductive coupling with formation of cyclic organic molecules. Both reaction types play important roles in nickel-catalyzed processes. Further chapters are devoted to compounds with a carbene or carbyne as the only Ni-bonded organic ligand and to compounds in which a carbyne ligand bridges a nickel-to-transition metal bond.
