L. Frank Baum was an American author best known for writing the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its sequels. Baum was a prolific writer as he is credited with over 50 novels, 200 poems, and close to 100 short stories. Baum remains one of the most widely read and influential writers in the fantasy fiction genre. Glinda of Oz, published in 1920, is the fourteenth and final novel that Baum wrote in the classic Wizard of Oz series. The action follows Dorothy and Ozma as they try to stop a war. Glinda and others must then set out to rescue them all.
