Publisher's Synopsis
Gilly & Bloo is a children's illustrated story about a near-sighted retriever--Bloo-- who lives with a little boy named Gilly in the Louisiana wetlands. Bloo becomes very friendly with wetlands creatures because he cannot see to fetch but must get very close up. They are not afraid of him. Bloo must tell Gilly that he can't see very well. Gilly takes Bloo to the eye doctor and Bloo gets a pair of glasses...so he can see and retrieve the ball that Gilly throws. Very happy ending.
