Publisher's Synopsis
German Affirmation is translated from the Third Reich original Deutsches Bekenntnis by Kurt Eggers. (After he died on the Russian front, a Waffen-SS regiment was named after this warrior poet of the Reich.) A list of the chapters pretty much describes the contents: German Faith, The Gateway of Freedom, The German Soul, We Germans, About War, Vanguard, The Term In Vain, Volunteers, The Creative Power of Poverty, The Great Yearning, Motherliness, A Father Ponders Over the Cradle, The Struggle for Knowledge and The Call. There is a strong religious tone in some of these chapters and poems, although it is definitely non-Christian. Dual English/German text. Softcover. 60pp.
