Publisher's Synopsis

As president of the USA, George W. Bush undertook some significant 'Missions'. These included capturing Osama Bin Laden; completing the unfinished business of dealing with Saddam Hussein in Iraq after the First Gulf War left him still in power; building on the concept of a 'New World Order' initiated by his father during his Presidency, the aim of which was, and still remains nebulous to many and lastly, to achieve policy successes at home and abroad that would define his legacy for posterity. During his presidency, the author had many occasions to render freelance editorial cartoons for newspapers in India and the US, that commented on events and issues that he considered interesting and important, and which reflected the impact of U.S. policies around the world. This book is a compilation of some of those cartoons. Where needed, brief comments have been added to give the reader the context in which they were rendered. The cynicism or sarcasm reflected in the cartoons is purely the result of an instant gut reaction to what the author saw, heard or read about George W. Bush, as and when a news item came to his attention. Hopefully, the contents of the book will allow the reader to re-look at George Bush and his 'Presidency' - a time during which he strutted on the world stage, and whether he 'Accomplished' the different 'Missions' at home and abroad that he and his administration set for themselves.
