Violette Editions was established in 1997 by publisher and editor Robert Violette. Initially publishing just one or two specialist books each year - renowned for their originality and high editorial, print and production standards - Violette Editions now has an enviable backlist focused on contemporary art and culture. Recently published titles include Dixonary, the first comprehensive book on the work of designer Tom Dixon, and a major monograph on the photographs of British artist Sarah Jones Eating at Hotel Il Pellicano captures the two-Michelin-starred recipes of Antonio Guida in photography by Juergen Teller and the wit of Will Self also forthcoming, The Symbol Gives Rise to Thought is the first of two volumes of Marina Warner's collected writings on art.
