That errors may have occurred in so great a number of names and dates as are here given, is probable, and that names have been omitted that should have been inserted is quite certain. We can only say that we have exercised more than ordinary dili gence and care in this difficult and complicated feature of book making. Of such as feel aggrieved in consequence of error ore omission, we beg pardon, and ask the indulgence of the reader in marking such as were observed in the subsequent reading of the proofs, and which are noted in the Errata, following the Introduction.
The Map of the County was engraved with great care by Messrs. Weed, Parsons Co, of Albany, and, it is believed, will prove a valuable acquisition to the work.
