Publisher's Synopsis
Garrett Steel is an outlaw who was once a part of the infamous "Black Bandanas" gang. He rode with the gang for all of his life, until he met the love of his life Margret. He lived a peaceful life with her, until she died from a sickness a few years after they got married. When she passes, Garrett reinserts himself back into his old lifestyle. Since he has been married, each member of his old gang has been arrested by the law in different towns, including Henry, who raised Garrett and the other members(Davy, Colt, and Johnny). While still dealing with the grief of losing his wife, Garrett embarks on a journey to free his fellow outlaws from prison. As he attempts to free each member one-by-one he encounters many problems that only a violent man like him would face along the way such as bounty hunters, pinkertons, and Indians that do not take kindly to people like him. While on the journey of freeing his surrogate brothers, Garrett must heal from losing his family, while also reconnecting with his past brothers. While Garrett moves through the wild west, he grapples with themes of loyalty, religion, and family.
