Publisher's Synopsis
GAMEPLAN seeks to use the avenue of sports to guide high school athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ while teaching them how to exalt Christ through sports-that is the essence of taking A Kingdom Approach to Sports.
We live in an age that has replaced God with the idol of sport, and high school athletes are in the middle of it. Unfortunately, lacking proper guidance, many high school athletes have fallen right in line with the world's way of approaching sports. This is not what God desires.
That's where GAMEPLAN comes into play. GAMEPLAN seeks to be a personal companion for high school athletes, coming alongside by using sports to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ while teaching them how to exalt Christ through their sports.
To best accomplish this mission, GAMEPLAN employs a rather unique strategy. Unlike most traditional devotionals, GAMEPLAN is a situational devotional. This means that each devotion has been assigned a situation in which a high school athlete would ideally read them. For example, there is a devotion to read before the most important competition of the season, one to read after a tough loss, and even one for saying no to peer pressure. In total, there are 101 situational devotions included within the pages of GAMEPLAN, each action-packed with practical lessons suited to meet high school athletes in the moments they need it most.
If you, or someone you know, is ready to get an inside look at what it means to take A Kingdom Approach to Sports, you've come to the right place.
