Publisher's Synopsis
Mankind spent its first millennia confined to Earth. With no means of interstellar travel, Men
spent thousands of years exploiting their home world's resources, constantly expanding and
growing. Wars, trials, and tribulations plagued our entire species since the beginning. Three wars
stood out above all others, known as the Great Terran Wars, though at the time they were
referred to as the World Wars.
The Third World War was the greatest of them all. As Humanity's three greatest
Allegiances fought for global supremacy, over 1.5 billion were killed, with hundreds of millions
more left as surviving casualties. In the end, one faction, one ideology, finally crushed the other
two. With the greatest sources of international tension eradicated (and a sixth of the planet's
population destroyed), Humanity set aside any other petty squabbles and united under a single
banner, and became United Terra. For the first time in all time, Mankind had united. World War
III truly was the war to end all wars.
