The eighth and ninth of April, 2010, Gabriele Basilico and his text Metropolitan Life went on stage at No'hma-Teresa Pomodoro Theatre (Milan).

Basilico explains the relationship between the metropolitan landscapes, with their constant transformation and development, and photography, used as a way to catch the real shape and identity of cities.

Gabriele Basilico was born in Milan, Italy, in 1944. As a photographer, his favorite areas of research included the identity of cities, the development of metropolises, and the changes in postindustrial landscapes. He was awarded numerous prizes and his work was celebrated in many important private and public collections, in Italy and internationally. He died on February 13, 2012.
