Gabby, a young gopher tortoise, overhears two humans talking about starting a big fire in her Florida pine forest. Fearing for the safety of her wildlife neighbors, she sets out to warn them. By instinct, she knows how they can save themselves, but will they listen to her? How will she get animals that are normally predator and prey to cooperate for the common good?
Gabby's plan sounds far-fetched, but she is determined to save her animal neighbors. Racing against the clock, will she be able to crawl fast enough to make it back to safety?
