This collection of essays by Julius West is by no means an easy work for those interested in a quick introduction to the polymath G. K. Chesterton. The book is an evaluation of poems, plays, essays, and other genres to which G.K.C. contributed. So, it requires some acquaintance with Chesterton's main books. Yet, though the book is direct, blunt, almost humorless, it contains some useful insights and deserves to be read; it deserves to be salvaged from the pile of "forgotten books."
