One morning, Cadence Lark wakes up with the realisation that she has no friends, a contemptible outlook on life and little motivation to keep going - not to mention an inflammable temper. One thing she does have, though, is money. So she vows to change her ways, transforming herself in to the masked superheroine 'The Beacon'. Once the media get wind of her crime-fighting antics however, she is quickly dubbed Furious. But with no superpowers to speak of, The Beacon will have to gather all of her strength from inside herself
