Publisher's Synopsis
Karen Delaney, a mature lady brought up in a conventional environment, finds it difficult to fulfill her traditional obligations in the home and marriage. She rebels, gets pregnant, and marries her father at the age of 18. She suffers from her husband's work and the continual travel despite the expectations of her family. She cultivates a caring atmosphere for her girls, so she is stunned and unprepared when her husband divorces her. She is becoming increasingly frustrated with her husband's absence, as seen by her limited view of the house and the dream she has built for herself and her girls.
