Then they objected to anybody else working, and there was trouble; and finally they fortified Bull Hill, placed a small cannon at the top, and there was anarchy.
Two railroads ran to Cripple Creek from Colorado Springs, and they were soon com peting for the business Of carrying deputy Sheriffs to the turbulent camp.
