Publisher's Synopsis

From Paris to Zion is based on the true story of Francois, an extraordinarily handsome boy with eyes of marine blue and an abundance of glossy brown curls. One could mistake him for a movie star. A conundrum of a man wearing many masks; his heart kind, sensitive and a deep thinker. Francois grows up in a in Jewish family running a thriving hotel business in an exclusive and expensive district in Paris.

After a group of Neo Nazis initially befriend him, and discover later that he is Jewish, Francois becomes a target and they torment and follow him, turning his white shirt crimson after a near-fatal attack with a blade.

Francois moves to the South of France hoping for a fresh start. Danger is not far behind, in the form of three men who recognise him in the street and he suffers another attack. Francois ends up being confined in an antiquated psychiatric hospital, nothing more than a whitewashed prison, the contrast of the swaying palm trees and the ugly bars on the windows undeniable. The first of many breakdowns.

After finally being freed, by chance Francois meets an English woman, Lori, tall, beautiful, creative, head full of music and dreams, from a completely different faith and background, they fall in love and she agrees to help him. Together they hatch a plan plotting to leave France for England to escape his tormentors and to slip off the radar of the dreadful psychiatric system. They must move swiftly, otherwise Francois will be forever lost into the world of psychiatry or worse.
