It seemed insane to dive into that mountain of green water towering six feet above Roz's head. From the bow, Roz shouted, "Left! Here!" The bow of their yellow canoe rose with their matching power strokes and knifed into the crest of the standing wave. They disappeared from view, plunging into the trough just upstream of the next standing wave.
