Publisher's Synopsis
From Brooklyn to Botswana describes a fisheries adventure through the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. The journey began as a graduate student at the University of Michigan under the supervision of Professor Karl Lagler and led to my collaboration with Professor Mike Bruton at the JLB Smith Institute of Ichthyology in Grahamstown, South Africa.
This account is not meant to be a scientific treatise. The research findings of my Okavango fisheries work is provided at the end of this account. This popular account is my attempt to describe some of the fascinating fisheries research activities which occurred between 1983 and 1995 and other fisheries activities that were ancillary to the Okavango fisheries research.
