Publisher's Synopsis

Collins Farm is situated in the hamlet of Frilford, six miles south-west of Oxford and three miles west of Abingdon. Murray Maclean trained at Writtle College in Essex, before joining the family fruit farm business in 1961; taking charge of a new orchard on land that had been part of Collins Farm at Frilford. In 1969 he purchased Collins Farm, so following in the footsteps of a long succession of farmers, who had for hundreds of years made their living from the land.
