Publisher's Synopsis
Along with baptism, the celebration of the Eucharist is one of the oldest liturgical rites in Christianity. Following the latest developments in research, and based on certain text corpora, the traditional image of the age of this type of mass has been revised. Based on these findings, Predrag Bukovec attempts a history of the Eucharist in early Christianity. He focuses in particular on the current paradigm shift which accents the plurality of the types of celebrations in the context of orality.
