Publisher's Synopsis
Wolf was investigating a Wagon Train massacre when a young woman came up from behind him and nearly cut him into with an ax. Near-death herself Wolf rushed to take her to his village to be tended to. Realizing she was the only one that survived the massacre, she wanted to get her to the fort and find out if she knew anything. Molly O'Brien was Sergeant Pat O'Brien's niece that had come from Missouri to live with him after her folks died. Molly was grateful to Wolf for saving her and glad to be with her Uncle. Her brother hadn't responded to her letters when her folks died, so she was left to handle everything alone.
But where was her brother and why hadn't he answered her letters? Aside from her brother, Molly's biggest problem was trying to handle her feelings that were growing for Wolf Wolf carried a secret and he just couldn't find it in his heart to tell Molly. What bothered him even more, he couldn't control what was happening between himself an Molly either!
