Publisher's Synopsis
Roy Leboy is a medical student, living in a garage apartment near the city zoo. His car, Beulah, is a black '53 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. He depends on Beulah for getting him to class and around town. Roy meets his classmates at the DOA Bar and Grill, the watering hole for the medical center, and they walk together, down the street, to Blueballs Cafe to celebrate Roy's birthday. Harry Blueballs, the owner, is a paraplegic. What happens next lands Harry in the University Hospital and Roy in some trouble. The story takes place in the city of Heart. The people in the story are, as in real life, almost TNTC (too numerous to count). They, like the people in real life, experience conflict. Roy, directly or inadvertently, becomes involved in their lives. Meanwhile, the country is in turmoil, experiencing changing times. Roy has his own struggles, but he still wants to know, what's with the monkey?
