Little Raven Francis greatest wish is a sled because he would like tobogganing. But he only gets skates for his birthday. Unfortunately, he does not succeed at ice skating and after a few painful falls, he gives up skating and tries again to get hold on a sled. During his search he meets friendly and less friendly animals. They all give him good advices, most of them not very helpful. But despite many adversities little Francis does not give up, and finally his dream comes true, albeit in a very different way than he had imagined.
