Publisher's Synopsis
In the summer of 1967, at the ripe age of nineteen, B. Baker enlisted in the United States Army. He volunteered for active duty and soon became just another hired gun. Deployed to South Vietnam and assigned to an Artillery Division, he pulled duty in a Reactionary Force. There he had been gung-ho and followed orders, but only for a short time. He had been there for less than forty-five days when things quickly changed. Dealing with intolerable deportment, he turned against some of his superiors. Orchestrating criminal acts in covert resistance landed him up to his neck in serious trouble. Now, his sojourn highlights an un-publicized hell; a stark reality called "L B J." A god-awful Military Stockade overflowing with Uncle Sam's best rejects. Known among the troops to be a myth, but if the wild sagas and horrible existence are true, it would be a place consumed in inconceivable wickedness. It is in this most unlikely scenario amidst unprecedented lawlessness, that Benson Baker must survive. Not once and for all but twice, in an unforeseen future.
