Then elves conquer his coastal home, taking all the inhabitants of Krevlin as prisoners. The elves are looking for something, and they think Llyr is the key. Worse still, the elf lord leading the attack doesn't just want Llyr's secrets. He wants Llyr. Rhaine was once the elven lord of Creven Tor, a mighty fortress on the edge of the sea. Then the humans invaded, and Rhaine was forced to abandon his home in order to save his people. Now he's back, seeking out the last remnant of magic that holds the decaying fortress together. Instead, Rhaine finds Llyr, a stubborn, defiant servant with more than just human blood in his veins. Rhaine found him, and he intends to keep him. He just needs to convince Llyr that giving in is worth it.
