Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Foreign Crops and Markets, Vol. 24: April 25, 1932
It is estimated that the available supply of wool for disposal in New Zealand on March 1. 1932 was about 5 per cent less than at the same time last season. Final sales of the 1931-32 season have been held in New Zealand. The markets have been somewhat irregular at recent sales and prices have declined in some centers. At the final sale in Wellington on April 11 about 40 per cent of the offerings were reported to have been withdrawn be cause bids failed to reach the owners' reserve prices. Offerings during the present season have been rather disappointing in quality in many cases. In most instances where wools were of a.better quality competition was good.
