What do older infants eat? A survey looked in detail at a sample of 488 infants aged between 6 and 12 months and this publications draws all the findings together to provide a comprehensive set of results. It includes data on the intakes of 38 nutrients by age, sex, socioeconomic group and region. Variation of food is analyzed by main type of food eaten, different types of main milk and with or without siblings. Further information on the incidence of breastfeeding and first solids all contribute to a report which should be of value to health professionals, reseach workers, the food industry and consumer groups.
