Publisher's Synopsis
Aimed at an aspiration design audience, the die-cut and foil-stamped cover of Font of Knowledge mimics the image of a typeset block. The interior is a journal with small factoids interspersed throughout regarding font pop culture (Did you know Facebook uses Lucida Grande on a Mac and and Tahoma on a PC?), facts about typeface (defining terms such as glyph width, counter shape, descender, bowl, bar, and more), and samples of and anecdotes about custom and arcane fonts. Small areas will be allotted throughout for practicing drawing different typefaces.
