Publisher's Synopsis
During the Spanish Civil War, Franco's soldiers shuddered when they heard her name; Republican forces considered her a heroine.
Flora Martínez's skill in handling knives led her, from cleaning fish in a market of Seville, to being known as "La Cuchillera" (The Woman of the Knives), the fearsome assassin feared and sought after by nationalist forces during the War.
When her forces were defeated, Flora escaped to Chicago, in the United States; there she had to take her dagger again to defend his family and face Carlo Cavalieri, the feared "capo" of the mafia and his acolytes, in a bloody personal war.
