Kai never imagined that her life would spiral so far out of control. After several misdiagnoses and slumping into a deep depression, she is finally diagnosed with Lupus. After losing her husband in the midst of it all a revelation occurs in the form of her own personal mantra: "I have Lupus, Lupus doesn't have me!"
