Publisher's Synopsis
Henri, with his blood-bonded Utani companion Rishii, departs on a first journey around the Great Circuit Road of the Seven Cities Region, hoping to gain the experience and knowledge which will allow him to understand his world more fully. His encounters manifest a realization that the natural order of the world, as well as his own vaguely hinted at powers, are much more complex than he ever could have imagined, while it becomes clear that some of the most important secrets about himself and this world remain to yet be fully disclosed until his return back to the isolated northern foothills stead of his family.
