Publisher's Synopsis

"Finding Home" is the sequel to "Dorothy's Boy," M.K. Bengtson's first novel. Kelly Anderson is beset by troubling dreams urging her to find an elusive house, ostensibly featured in the famous Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds," filmed in Bodega Bay, California in the early 1960s. She becomes obsessed with the idea, believing there is some connection to a long lost relative, Aunt Lottie, believed to have perished in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. The obsession causes Ellen, Kelly's partner, to return to Frank, her ex-husband. Kelly travels to Bodega Bay hoping to find the house and it's connection to her family that will make sense of her dreams and prove that she is sane. She discovers an abandoned house hidden amongst a grove of trees on Bodega Head, finding out that it was used in the movie. In spite of it being haunted, she buys and renovates the house. She discovers that Lottie did live in the house. Kelly's dreams persist, eventually revealing the truth of Lottie's demise. The revelation sets in motion events that open old wounds and threaten to destroy Kelly's fragile new life.
