Publisher's Synopsis
These volumes contain a description of the source and a brief contextual statement before each entry, as well as face-to-face original Italian and English translations of the treatises. Some specialized studies of the music notation, of the choreographic descriptions of the dances, and the biographies and iconography already exist but these volumes firmly establish the cultural context in which all of this dance and music activity occurred.
