Fearless Faith is like so many children, full of fears that trouble them as they lie awake in bed at night. As their fears range from the fear of starting a new school, to the fear of the dentist, so too, do Fearless Faith's. The Fearless Faith(c) books are a series of stories for young readers aimed at exploring and resolving the fears of children in a light-hearted way. The common elements that permeate each book in the series allow children to participate in the stories, anticipate Faith's responses and relate Faith's fears to their own. In the first book, Fearless Faith and the New School, the readers accompany Faith through her first day in a new school. As the day goes on, she realizes that all of the things that troubled her the night before, did not come to fruition. As in all of the Fearless Faith stories, the book ends with Faith realizing that sometimes the fear of a new event is worse than the actual event itself.
