Publisher's Synopsis
Set in 1930, Bel despairs of her husband Walter's obsession with his work and finds herself reciprocating the advances of her brother-in-law, Larry. Her life simmers dangerously, until thrown upside down by two tragedies. Only Vera, a figure from Walter's past, seems able to help matters.
