Quint's world is shattered when The Recycler, a serial killer from whose clutches she had barely escaped, returns. But it can't be him because The Recycler was killed in an explosion. Quint knew that she was dealing with a copycat killer or The Recycler had risen from the dead, either way she wasn't happy. Detective Quint McCord has her hands full with solving murders, dealing with Marcella, a husband who is a local celebrity and trying to find out if The Recycler has returned.
